Blue Moon

This New Year's Eve was a magical and special time numerically, astrologically and energetically! For the first time in 20 years we had a full moon-lunar eclipse, that was also a Blue Moon on New Year's Eve. If you are not familiar with a blue moon, other than the cliched saying "once in a blue moon..." then here's the scoop. There are 13 lunar months, which are 28 day cycles (cycles that birth and menstruation also follow) in a 12 month, 30-31 day cycle, calendar year. Therefore, since 13 lunar/moon cycles are situated within 12 calendar months, one month every year or so has two full moons in it. The second full moon is called a blue moon. Blue moons bring double the strength and energy of a regular full moon, and are very auspicious. There is no blue moon in 2010, so I hope that you got a chance to enjoy this one!
